Lost in His Tenderness

Back in middle school, Li Yang was the cherished youngest daughter of a wealthy local family, born to her parents later in life. But eventually, the long-planned decline of the family came. Her older sister squandered the family fortune and fled abroad, and her parents passed away, leaving chaos in their wake.

Without a golden finger to restore her to her life as a rich heiress, Li Yang carried on through ordinary, difficult days. Years later, after graduating from university in another city, she started working. She didn’t grow up to become a socialite. Instead, she became a female programmer, busy from dawn to dusk.

One day, while running a program, she suddenly ran into an intractable bug. It turned out that the person who had caused it was none other than a boy who had transferred to her high school back then: the aloof top student who became the school’s heartthrob as soon as he arrived.

Li Yang hadn’t been particularly close to him. In fact, she sometimes joined her female classmates in gossiping about his many school rumors.

Yet not long after they met again, he confessed his feelings. Girls had always been the ones to confess to him, but this time, Li Yang rejected him without hesitation.

He must have felt completely humiliated. Perhaps they couldn’t even be friends anymore.

But one starry night, he gazed at Li Yang with tenderness in his eyes and asked:

“Could I confess to you one more time?”
