Follow Ye Xian as he explores a fantastical world where the modern city blends with ancient cultivation.
Ye Xian was once an ordinary country boy, but the mysterious dragon-shaped birthmark he was born with destined him for an extraordinary path of cultivation. Guided by a jade pendant, Ye Xian enters the world of the I Ching, a treasured gem of Chinese culture.
"When the eight trigrams are arranged, the images are contained within them. When they are doubled, the lines are contained within them. As the firm and yielding push against each other, change is contained within them. When words are attached to them and their meanings declared, movement is contained within them. Heaven and earth take their places; mountains and lakes exchange their energies; thunder and wind clash; water and fire do not oppose each other. The eight trigrams interweave. To count what has passed is to move with the flow; to know what is to come is to go against it. Thus, the I Ching uses reverse counting."
As Ye Xian cultivates, he continually masters the explanations of the sixty-four hexagrams, turning them into skills and techniques. His art of painting dragons and dotting their eyes with gold builds a business empire and creates a mysterious pocket world. The Energy Tree provides an endless supply of spiritual power, giving Ye Xian the strength to battle the Soul-Corrupting Demon, repel the invasion of demons from beyond the realm, and protect the world.
