This book closely combines the geological environment characteristics of deep valleys in southwest China and the actual construction of hydropower projects. It covers the engineering geological classification, spatial distribution characteristics, formation mechanism analysis, survey technology methods, engineering geological characteristics, deformation and damage characteristics, stability analysis and evaluation, geological hazard prevention and material engineering utilization of large accumulation bodies. A relatively comprehensive study was conducted on the project, and the engineering survey experience of large accumulations, basic instability induction modes, geological disaster hazard characteristics, suitability of treatment measures, etc. Were summarized and analyzed, and suggestions for comprehensive prevention and control of large accumulation geological disasters (including prevention, treatment, monitoring, early warning, and environmental protection, etc.) Were put forward.
