Didn't You Say Secretary Lin Got Pregnant to Climb the Ladder and Wasn't Cherished?

[CEO and secretary + workplace relationships + angst before sweetness]

[A growth-focused couple: The heroine starts out meek but becomes a powerful woman in the workplace. The hero starts out stubborn and emotionally clueless but eventually learns how to cherish her.]

In the eyes of the company, CEO Lu Yushen is a finance whiz surrounded by beautiful women and pursued by daughters from distinguished families. Secretary Lin in the CEO’s office is a cautious, well-behaved young woman with a steady boyfriend.

The two of them should have had nothing to do with each other.

When the CEO gets married, everyone speculates about who the bride is. Then they discover that she’s Secretary Lin, who’s been quietly working at her desk all along.

What? She even got pregnant to secure her position!

The company chat explodes:

Some feel sorry for Secretary Lin’s boyfriend, who was cheated on.

Some are curious about how Secretary Lin managed to get into the CEO’s bed.

Some condemn her hypocrisy.

…

But as the story of their ten-year romance slowly unfolds, everyone realizes that President Lu is the one chasing after his wife like a henpecked husband.

Wait a minute!

Wasn’t Secretary Lin supposed to have used her pregnancy to get ahead, only to be neglected afterward?
