In order to improve the level of use and maintenance of dam safety monitoring instruments and equipment and reduce human errors and errors in measured data, this paper systematically summarizes the basic principles, structures, installation, use and maintenance of various types of dam safety monitoring instruments and equipment, and analyzes problems that are easily overlooked during the use of instruments and equipment based on engineering examples. The characteristics of this book are mainly reflected in three aspects: (1) It is oriented to safety monitoring personnel of dam safety management units and pays attention to practicality; (2) The content is detailed and practical, and it is highly operable; (3) It is closely integrated with engineering examples and vivid. This book can be used as a reference for personnel involved in the operation and management of hydropower stations and reservoir dam safety monitoring systems, and can also be read by senior undergraduates and graduate students in related majors.
