A quick note before you start: This story leans heavily toward original, custom content. I’ve watched more of the 5D’s anime, and I’ve played some games like Tag Force, so I may get some rulings wrong. Please forgive me.
The effects of cards that aren’t custom-made are based on Tag Force Special. They may not fit the current game environment, so please forgive me.
Some characters from other card-game anime that I like will also appear. Since I’m including them out of personal affection and for my own amusement, I’ll mention where each character comes from, though I may make some changes. Thank you.
A quick explanation of the subtitle, “Flaming Han, Netherworld Chu”:
These are the two decks used by the main characters.
“Flaming Han” is designed around Liu Bang and his ministers in the early Han dynasty, combined with the red side in Chinese chess.
“Netherworld Chu” is designed around Xiang Yu and his generals during the Chu-Han Contention, combined with the black side in Chinese chess.
As for describing card details, I plan to avoid repeating effect descriptions when they’ve already come up in a character’s dialogue. It’ll also help cut down on the word count.
