The Story of a Military Uniform

A short story. Told in the first person by a high school student, it uses plenty of conversational language to recount "my" dream of wearing a military uniform. It reveals "my" machismo and fascination with the military, while questioning today's tendency to judge people by their appearance. It depicts all sorts of scenes in which people compete for the "military uniform," and portrays many vain, petty characters, satirizing the phenomenon among young people at today's "universities" of being "all show on the outside, rotten within."

Adapted from the author's personal experience, the story passionately expresses the author's dissatisfaction with those who compete for the "military uniform." What is called charm and good looks is, in truth, nothing but vanity and childishness. The "military uniform" is really just "pretending to be military."
