Taking the Guishui River as an example, this book mainly introduces the ecological environment restoration and ecological corridor construction as well as ecological management engineering practices for seasonal water-deficient rivers in the north. The book consists of 6 chapters. It mainly addresses the problems of seasonal water shortage in rivers in the northern region, poor water ecosystem background, local fragmentation patches, and serious landscape fragmentation. It follows the concept of "harmony between humans and water, green development, adapting measures to local conditions, and zoning management" to systematically sort out the basic concepts and connotations of river corridor construction, focusing on Regarding the basic elements of river corridors, we conducted research on the spatial and seasonal configuration patterns of aquatic plant communities, pioneer plant selection, and stability of plant community structures based on river wetland water quality purification. We proposed strategies for repairing local ecologically fragmented patches and improving landscape functions, and conducted ecological governance engineering demonstrations in the Guishui River Expo section. The demonstration project has improved the purification capacity of the Guishui River, effectively guaranteed the ecological health of the river, and promoted the quality and efficiency of river management.
