I Was Only Pretending to Be a Concubine. Surely the Prince Didn't Take It Seriously?

[Scheming heroine] [Play the pig to eat the tiger] [Not mutual first love]

Y Yao, the daughter of a minor official, is sent to the prince's mansion as a concubine, becoming a surrogate for her cousin, who plans to kill the mother after the child is born.

She pretends not to know what her cousin is plotting and plays along, acting like a kind, simple-minded, considerate concubine.

No one knows that Y Yao, who seems to fight for nothing, wants to become the lady of the household, and even ascend to the throne as empress.

Prince Dan is naturally suspicious, and no one can truly reach his heart.

This cold, sinister man is gentle only with Y Yao.

"The world may deceive and betray me, but at least I have A Yao by my side."

Y Yao nods enthusiastically on the outside, but thinks nothing of it inside: I'm just playing along. You don't actually believe it, do you, Your Highness?
