Some place names in the story are made up. The world is entirely fictional, though some real place names are borrowed, without necessarily referring to those actual locations. (The names sounded nice, so the author overlooked the geography.)
After reading some of it, this book gave me the feeling that the heroine went from "no fighting, no grabbing" to becoming tough and vengeful (I skipped to read it). I think the author actually loves her heroine very much, really, and it becomes more and more obvious later on. And (important point), this is one of the few characters I have seen who is particularly eager for love (family love). After all, the heroine is only in her teens, and even in ancient times, people in their teens could get married. Then came the latest chapter. The heroine said that she wanted to go back to Shiyin'an, which really made me feel the strong BE flavor! (I think the heroine should go sightseeing with her maid.) However, the hero is also a good person. I feel that he can see a bit of his sultry attributes from the way he joked about himself as "Jade Master"...
