Chu Er Leng, poor unlucky fool, was so worried about his mortgage and car loan that he was nearly bald when he somehow ended up in another world. The spirited heroine Tang Xiaoxiao swept in like a tornado.
When evil forces set their sights on the transmigration jade pendant Chu Er Leng possessed, Tang Xiaoxiao flew into a rage, grabbed her sword, and charged forward, shouting, “Whoever dares touch this idiot will have to deal with me first!” Chu Er Leng hid behind her, feeling both moved and smug. “This fierce woman really comes through when it counts.”
Chu Er Leng discovered the secret of a space-time rift inside the pendant and struggled over whether to return to the modern world. Tang Xiaoxiao grabbed him by the ear and yelled, “If you dare leave, I’ll chase you to the ends of the earth and drag you back!” Chu Er Leng replied helplessly, “Hey, I haven’t even left yet. Don’t be so fierce.”
Chu Er Leng stayed behind to teach the villagers about the modern world, while Tang Xiaoxiao caused trouble. She either hid the books in the doghouse or practiced quacking like a duck, throwing the lessons into chaos until Chu Er Leng could only laugh awkwardly.
During the battle against the evil forces, Chu Er Leng took a spectacular spill while saving Tang Xiaoxiao, accidentally blocking an attack. Tang Xiaoxiao was both annoyed and amused. “You can’t even save someone without making a mess of it!” Chu Er Leng shot back, “What matters is that I saved you. Why are you being so picky?”
In the end, they defeated the evil forces. Chu Er Leng took Tang Xiaoxiao on a transmigration adventure, and they went to the modern world to pay off his loans before returning to the other world.
At their wedding, Chu Er Leng put his shoes on the wrong feet. Tang Xiaoxiao laughed until tears came to her eyes. “You scatterbrain, how are we supposed to grow old together?” Chu Er Leng hurriedly replied, “Darling, stop laughing and let’s get on with the ceremony!”
Just then, a sudden voice drifted over...
The writing is really funny and the characters are well drawn.
