The earlier part of the story is true to life. For the later part, I wanted to give them the best ending possible, and a different life, while keeping the theme rooted in the Ming army.
This isn't a conventional story, and the changes can be rather abrupt. It's related to transmigration, so of course there's a bit of that involved.
