As long as it can convey information about life in Beijing during the Wanli period from one aspect, then its value is sufficient. This book covers the customs, buildings, landscapes, historical sites, altars, temples and cemeteries of Beijing in the Ming Dynasty. In particular, the local customs, dialects, temples, nunneries, palaces, temples, temples and ancestral halls left many precious things for our descendants. Especially the dialects, from which many traces of today's Beijing dialect can be seen. "Wanshu Miscellaneous Notes" consists of twenty volumes and was completed in 1593. The author Shen Bang was appointed as the magistrate of Wanping County, Shuntian Prefecture in the 18th year of Wanli. During his tenure, he paid attention to current affairs, searched for anecdotes, and compiled this book based on the archives of the agency. It records the social politics, economy, historical geography, customs and people's remains of the Ming Dynasty, and is also one of the earliest historical records of Beijing.
