The Little Shop by the Clouds: The Underdog’s Comeback

On the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month in 2017, Liu Shisan returned to his grandmother’s little shop. Perhaps he missed it too much, because he wept there alone, overcome with grief. After leaving the mountain at Yunbian, he returned to his lodgings and fell straight into bed. At dawn the next day, in the first rays of sunlight, Liu Shisan opened his eyes. To his astonishment, he was back in the familiar yet strange little shop. Everything was just as it had always been, and yet somehow different. This little shop nestled in the mountains held his childhood memories and marked the beginning of his dreams. It was also where his life had fallen apart. Now it had become a symbol of his rebirth and renewal.
