Summer Sparks: Extra Sweet, Served on Ice

[Salvation + healing]

[Levelheaded, gentle cat vs. rebellious, aloof puppy]

Even the wind was hot on a summer night. The bar was full of all sorts of people. Lin Zhixia saw a boy in a Shengyang No. 5 High School uniform, his brows full of defiance and arrogance, smashing a bottle of whiskey hard against a man’s head.

Blood and liquor ran down the man’s head as he clutched it and convulsed on the floor. The sight was enough to bring the bar’s music to a halt, but the boy didn’t care. He shook the remaining liquor from his hand and strode away.

Still standing at the bar entrance, Lin Zhixia immediately stepped back twice to let him pass, afraid she’d be the next one to get a bottle smashed over her head.

But even that step back annoyed the “street tough.”

Xie Zhouwang glanced at her nonchalantly and gave a disdainful snort.

“You’re that scared and you still come to bars?”

Her better judgment made Lin Zhixia swallow the urge to snap back and give him a sweet smile instead.

“You’re absolutely right.”

Xie Zhouwang: “...”

This girl had something about her.

She was mocking him!

Later on,

Xie Zhouwang would wag his tail and stick close to Lin Zhixia.

“Hey, Lin Zhixia! I won’t fight anymore. I’ll do whatever you say.”

“...”

“Come on, talk to me, will you?”

She had thought they were just passing strangers, never imagining they would bring warmth to each other for years to come.
