The Soul-Suppressing Pearl

Damage to the ancient dragon veins, caused by modern construction and other factors, has allowed demons and ghosts to wreak havoc in the human world.

The Maoshan Sect is a Taoist sect that has almost withdrawn from the world. It is committed to upholding justice and saving the world, and emphasizes cultivating the “inner elixir”: through internal cultivation, practitioners seek unity of body and mind and a path to immortality. The Maoshan Sect is also unsurpassed in using talismans to ward off evil and avert danger.

Li Qingyue, born in a year, month, and day all associated with the Earth element, is sent down the mountain by the Maoshan Patriarch to find the dragon veins and return the Soul-Suppressing Pearl to its proper place. Only then can peace be restored among the Three Realms.
