The Shattered Jade Cage

A Wu was a princess. Even if her kingdom fell and her family perished, she could never lose her royal pride...

Song Hao: “You're a bird I raised. When I tell you to sing, you sing; when I tell you to dance, you dance. You'll always be in the palm of my hand.”

A Wu: “Then I'll claw your hand and peck your eyes out. Even if I share your bed, it's only because I need you for now.”

A cage inlaid with gold and jade is a prison while it remains intact, but once it is broken, it becomes the pinnacle of power. Perhaps Song Hao never knew, even on his deathbed, that he had been a pawn she chose all those years ago.
