An unexpected twist sent two brothers with strong personalities from a military family, a cheerful campus celebrity known as the school's resident know-it-all, the daughter of the wealthy Jiang family, and a photography-loving prodigy to the North Korean battlefield of 1950.
1950 was an era completely unfamiliar to them. Yet, on a battlefield more than seventy years removed from their own time, they unexpectedly encountered someone they knew?! With the land sealed in ice for a thousand miles, the friends were swept into this clash of ice and fire.
Glaciers, snowfields, gunfire, blood, and sacrifice: the carnage would be beyond anything they could have imagined!
Those peaceful years didn't just come about on their own. Someone fought for them with their flesh and blood! But do you know? Our motherland has changed so much since then. We have planes and tanks, and even our own space station. People have plenty to eat and wear, and no longer have to fear going hungry or freezing... Just as you imagined, the streets are bustling, and the land is at peace.
“We don't expect you to win many battles! We only hope you can come back...”
“You fought for this peaceful, prosperous age. You have to see it for yourselves!”
What kind of soul-forging ordeal will the friends have to endure?
Bring them home, and let those who should have fallen amid bloodshed and chaos witness the prosperity of their motherland. The friends would pay any price for this, and never regret it! The ending became a beginning, and the gears of darkness began to turn...
(Disclaimer: I wrote this story in elementary school and am posting it to fulfill a dream. Please don't be too harsh if it's not good~)
Alas, there is finally no Changjin Lake novel that speculates on movies [face-covering] [face-covering]. Although there is a linkage, I am still very touched [face-covering]
It's pretty good, I don't know why no one sees it
