In 2007, at the Jing’an tomb, 46 young women were buried as sacrificial offerings. When modern woman Wu Chujianglian wakes after a car accident, she finds herself among them. In this desperate situation, she uses her modern knowledge to lead the other women in breaking out of the tomb, only to transmigrate unexpectedly to the late Spring and Autumn period, a turbulent age when Goujian is enduring hardship and the Yue state is building up its strength over ten years.
To protect herself, she starts by raising silkworms and reeling silk, brings local silkworm farmers together, and opens a textile workshop. She also draws on her advanced knowledge to develop skincare products based on ancient recipes and establish her own brand, determined to take “a woman’s business” across the lands of the feudal lords.
She discusses the art of commerce with Fan Li and listens to Wen Zhong’s plans for the state. Amid the rivalry between Wu and Yue, she proceeds cautiously, using the idea of “helping others get rich after getting rich herself” to change the fate of women at the bottom of society. But when she tries to turn the tide of history and save those around her from their fates, she discovers that all her efforts seem as futile as a mantis trying to stop a chariot.
Should she accept Heaven’s will and remain a spectator to her age, or defy the odds and use her modern soul to forge her own path to survival in the chaotic Spring and Autumn period? This journey of commerce and redemption, spanning a thousand years, will ultimately find its answer in the dust of history.
Not bad, I rarely see works about the Spring and Autumn Period After three months, I stopped updating. I thought there were a lot of updates.
