When I Face the Sun

The quirky, sunny Song Ye ✖ Pei Congqing, a cool academic ace at first who later turns incredibly flirtatious

After a chance encounter in the library, Pei Congqing starts noticing Song Ye’s presence everywhere in his life.

Song Ye smiles and asks Pei Congqing, “Do you know what the star next to the moon is called?” Pei Congqing shakes his head. “It’s called the Morning Star, or the Half-Moon Star, because it’s always following the moon and keeping it company. Pei Congqing, you’re the moon, and I’m the star beside you. You’ll never be lonely again!”

When they meet again, Pei Congqing asks, “Why did you leave without a word back then? I thought I’d find out why as long as I got into Huaqing.”
