“Hot-blooded, chuuni demon lord” + “Wickedly charming young monster hunter”
Ever since Jiye Yilan cut out Xie Zhen’s liver and replaced his heart, two people have lived inside Xie Zhen: an ancient demon ancestor and an innocent boy, most of the time.
Jiye Yilan: “I’ll grant your wish, and you’ll help me meet the man inside you. He’ll take over the rest of your life. In other words, when that happens, it’ll be your time to die.”
Xie Zhen laughed awkwardly. “…O-okay…”
Jiye Yilan brushed past him and even slapped him a high five, finishing his sentence for him: “No problem!”
Xie Zhen forced a bitter smile and finished his thought. “Okay… that’s absolutely ridiculous!”
And so Xie Zhen followed Lord Yilan on a journey to subdue demons and monsters. Along the way, they encountered insect coins that made people mutate, a sinister serpent in a water prison, a capricious demon child, a female corpse bride awakened in a mountain tomb, and a wife tormented into becoming a monster by her husband…
But the biggest boss, the Evil Thought Ghost, is hiding inside the most benevolent person in the world!
In their past life:
They were a human and a demon in love. They switched souls, and before they could switch back, the demon died.
The human, Jiye Yilan, pledged his soul to the Bodhisattva in exchange for eternal life, hoping to save the demon, Wuye, from being harvested like a leek in every life. A thousand years passed before they met again. The human’s appearance was unchanged and his abilities were second to none, but most of his memories had faded. He needed repeated reminders and help from his friends in the demon realm to remember why he had sought immortality.
Meanwhile, the demon’s reincarnation, Xie Zhen, was being raised step by step: planted, watered, fertilized, grown strong, and finally harvested.
In fact, this book should be good to read. Although I have only read a little bit, I can tell that the author's writing style is not bad. But his plot and scene transitions seem a bit confusing. Anyway, I read the first few chapters two or three times, but I still don't seem to understand them. I feel that his name and cover are very eye-catching, and many people should click in to read it. However, the confusion of the beginning of the plot may make some people leave. I don't know why there are so few comments but the author still insisted on writing it to the end. It's really awesome (I just don't know if it's unfinished). By the way, why did it feel confusing at the beginning? I just have one. It feels like starting to read from the middle of the book.
