Legend has it that in ancient times, there was a dynasty called Ding. During the Ding Dynasty, the capital, Jinding City, was home to five great families: the Wang, Peng, Zhao, Jing, and Bai. The wealthiest of them was the Bai family. Recently, Bai Xiaoqi, the current head of the Bai family, had another son and named him Bai Longchen. When the young master was born, he neither cried nor fussed. He breathed easily and gazed wide-eyed at the people around him. By the time Bai Longchen was seven, some said he had been idle and ignorant of even the most basic things since childhood, a spoiled young master.
