Bai Sen is a soldier, and Lin Mingge is a military doctor. The two get together after their commanding officer plays matchmaker, but their relationship is lukewarm at first, and they run into a few misunderstandings. Fortunately, Bai Sen’s mother takes a real liking to Lin Mingge and helps them make it to the altar. Lin Mingge is an orphan who earned her position as a military doctor through her own hard work. Bai Sen enlisted to carry on his father’s legacy. His mother had always hoped he would meet a good woman, and she is delighted to see them marry. But their happiness doesn’t last. Bai Sen is hurt while on a mission, and Lin Mingge is already pregnant with his child. She thinks they have been separated forever by life and death, until at a gathering she sees Bai Sen appear before her, holding the hand of a strange woman.
