Synopsis

This book is based on the "Official List of Past Dynasties" written in the 45th year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty (AD 1780), with additions and deletions, and then compared with contemporary civil servant ranks. What was deleted were the dynasties that existed for a relatively short time in history and did not rule the entire country, and the two Han Dynasties were combined into Han Dynasty. A total of ten historical periods including the Three Dynasties, Qin, Han, Jin, Sui, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing are preserved. Added the responsibilities and establishment history of each official listed in the table.
