Defying Heaven and Changing Fate: The Strongest Yellow Turban

During Emperor Ling of Han's reign, the court is corrupt, eunuchs and imperial in-laws endlessly battle for power, and border wars rage on. The empire grows weaker by the day.

In the first year of Zhongping (184 CE), a severe drought strikes the country. Not a single grain is harvested, yet taxes remain unchanged. With nowhere left to turn, impoverished farmers rise up under the orders of Zhang Jiao and his two brothers from Julu, launching a fierce assault on the Eastern Han court. This uprising is known to history as the Yellow Turban Rebellion.

To suppress the revolt, regional commanders build up their own forces. Although the uprising ultimately ends in defeat,

it still shakes the foundations of the Eastern Han dynasty. Warlords carve up the land and fight among themselves, the Eastern Han becomes a state in name only, and the realm descends into chaos as heroes rise from every quarter.

Zhang Fan is a seasoned urban office worker and an avid fan of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms games. He knows the series inside out.

His favorite, though, is Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI. But he's played through the opening as great figures like Cao Cao and Liu Bei so many times that it's lost its appeal.

With nothing better to do, he opens a bonus map made by another player and starts from the hardest difficulty as the Yellow Turbans. After a full ten hours, he finally takes three cities and manages to establish a foothold.

Zhang Fan can't help complaining: the Yellow Turbans are downright useless.

Thirty-six rebel commanders and hundreds of thousands of Yellow Turban soldiers, yet they get smashed to pieces by the late Han heroes, who have fewer men and generals.

If he could transmigrate to the late Han, he would surely lead the Yellow Turbans to defy fate, change their destiny, and dominate the age!

Just as Zhang Fan is letting his imagination run wild, his vision blurs, and he finds himself in the chaotic late Han. By a twist of fate, he is swept up and becomes a Yellow Turban soldier!

Since he's here, he may as well make the best of it.

See how Zhang Fan seizes the initiative, uses the Fate-Changing System to stir up the realm, and builds the strongest Yellow Turban army!
