Jiang Qi is locked up as a madman for five years. One day, he falls head over heels at first sight for Lu Tingzhou, who has come to clear out the mutated creatures.
The guy is handsome, has a high infection level, and won't live long. Most importantly, he can get Jiang Qi out of this awful place.

Lu Tingzhou thinks he's on borrowed time, so to wipe out the Original Strain, he trains Jiang Qi day and night to take his place.
But one day, an examiner tells him that although his infection level is high, his bodily functions are steadily recovering and growing stronger from contact with Jiang Qi.
He isn't going to die anytime soon.
Jiang Qi: “How are you doing? You're so badly hurt. Are you about to die?!” (Tears of grief, secretly thrilled inside)
