Luo Qing'an and Mu Shichu were childhood friends. They grew up together, and their families had been close for generations. But because of her father’s job, Luo Qing'an transferred schools in her second year of middle school. She didn’t return to Qingyao until high school.
They recognized each other as soon as they met. Though they hadn’t seen each other in over two years, their bond was as strong as ever.
Luo Qing'an was a year ahead of Mu Shichu and graduated first.
“Luo Qing'an, wait for me. I’ll come find you in a year…”
They promised to attend the same university, but Mu Shichu’s mother changed her college preferences without asking, and Mu Shichu didn’t get into Luo Qing'an’s school. Even so, they stayed in touch.
During her freshman winter break, Mu Shichu decided to surprise Luo Qing'an and secretly traveled a long way to his city. But she happened to see him hugging one of her close friends. Heartbroken, she walked away in the rain. Too distraught to notice the traffic, she got into an accident. After that, she cut off all contact with Luo Qing'an. He came to see her countless times, but she refused to meet him.
What she didn’t know was that Luo Qing'an had changed his college preferences for her and stayed to work in Qingyao…
Perhaps fate had brought them together again. They met once more and became colleagues, but he continued to suppress his feelings for Mu Shichu, too afraid to confess.
Later, Mu Shichu accidentally opened a wooden box Luo Qing'an had hidden in a cabinet. Inside were photos of the two of them, a black notebook, and a simple sketchbook she knew very well…
The black notebook recorded Luo Qing'an’s feelings for her over all those years.
“Luo Qing'an, so you’ve liked me for so long…”
