[Both Leads Reborn] [Sweet on the Outside, Cunning on the Inside]
[An innocent little princess who wants only revenge × A scheming hostage prince from an enemy kingdom]
In their previous life, Sheng Qi, crown prince of the Li Kingdom, and Shen Yin, little princess of the Chen Kingdom, were afflicted by poisonous love-curses that scrambled their memories. Sheng Qi mistook Ling Chaoge for the woman he loved, marched on the capital, and seized whatever he wanted along the way. Shen Yin died an innocent victim. When the curse wore off and Sheng Qi regained his memories, he sacrificed himself to bring Shen Yin back to life after losing the woman he loved.
Reborn, Shen Yin is consumed by grief and resolve. In her previous life, Sheng Qi attacked the capital, the Yong'an Marquis household was wiped out, she and her mother, Consort Shun, died, and even her father tried to kill her. Her hatred runs bone-deep. When she came of age and asked to be granted a marriage, Sheng Qi humiliated her. In this life, all she wants is to protect her mother and clan, and bring Sheng Qi and Ling Chaoge together to prevent the tragedy.
To protect herself, Shen Yin seeks an alliance with Song Mingli, only to discover that Sheng Qi has gotten there first. She assumes he has come for Ling Chaoge, but since they have the same enemy, she has no choice but to join him. Amid the whirlpool of political schemes, the two bring down the Noble Consort and help Shen Wang ascend the throne.
He has already fallen too deep to ever let Shen Yin go.
