In a distant age, a tragic love story was etched into the memory of time. Zhou Shengchen, a fearless and valiant general, was condemned to the bone-stripping punishment by the ruthless Liu Zixing amid a struggle for power. When I learned of his terrible fate, despair overwhelmed me. I leapt from the city wall, hoping to follow him and journey with him into the afterlife.
But fate played a trick on me. When I awoke, I found that I had not died. Instead, I had arrived at the legendary Bridge of Helplessness. There, I unexpectedly met Zhou Shengchen. He was still as handsome as I remembered, but there was a hint of anticipation in his eyes. He told me he had been waiting for me all along, because he knew me and knew I would make this choice for him.
In this life, Zhou Shengchen had carried the weight of the world, yet failed only me, the woman he loved most, Shiyi. His deep love and helplessness filled me with sorrow. I asked him how long he would have waited if I hadn’t chosen to take my life on the city wall. He smiled and answered, “A year, a lifetime, all eternity.” His promise was as steadfast as a vow, and I felt just how deeply he loved me.
This is a story about love, loyalty, and waiting. Through the long river of time, the love between Zhou Shengchen and me became an eternal legend, passed down through the generations. And this story will forever be engraved in my heart as the most precious memory of my life.
"The Return of an Old Friend from Chang'an" is a novel with deep emotions and ups and downs of plot. The author uses delicate brushwork to describe a master-disciple love that spans life and death, which makes people feel moved after reading it. Although there are pearls and jade before them, the heroine and the hero of the ancient romance novel Chang'an Ruyu are not together. The male protagonist was brutally eviscerated, while the female protagonist jumped over the city wall to follow the male protagonist and died. But this regret is made up for in this novel. Its biggest highlight is its emotional authenticity and depth. Between the master and his apprentice, they missed each other due to various reasons, leaving endless regrets. In this life, the apprentice is reborn with the memories of his previous life and meets the master again. The relationship between the two is like an old tree that has experienced wind and frost, with deep roots and luxuriant leaves, and it is difficult to let go. This kind of emotional entanglement and struggle makes people sigh. The plot design of the novel is also very clever. Through the setting of rebirth, the author creates an opportunity for the master and apprentice to reunite. In this process, the apprentice not only has to face the memories of past lives, but also faces various challenges in real life. In the process of getting along with the apprentice, the master gradually discovered the true identity of the apprentice and the emotional entanglement between the two in their previous lives. This plot design not only increases the tension and suspense of the novel, but also allows readers to have a deeper understanding of the emotional world between the master and the apprentice. In addition, the writing style of the novel is also very beautiful. The author is good at using various rhetorical techniques to vividly depict the characters' emotions, personality and inner activities. Especially the emotional description between the master and the apprentice is even more penetrating, making people feel the deep emotional bond between them. Overall, it's a very good novel. It successfully attracts readers' attention with its true and deep emotions, clever plot design and beautiful writing. After reading this novel, I was deeply moved by the emotion between the master and the apprentice, and also by their love story. This is a novel worth reading again and again, and I believe it will become a classic in the hearts of many people.
Book review of "The Return of an Old Friend from Chang'an" In the vast literature, stories of reunion and rebirth after a long absence are common, but there are only a few that can truly touch people's hearts. The year before last, the TV series "The Last Day" moved me with its profound emotional entanglement and tragic ending. Cui Shiyi's jump from the city wall made me burst into tears, and I will never forget it for a long time. Now, I accidentally came across this book "The Return of an Old Friend from Chang'an" in a sea of books. As a fanfic of "Zhou Shengru Ruji", it has rekindled my expectations and hopes for this pair of lovers. The author cleverly transforms the regrets of the past life into reunions in this life, allowing Shi Yi and Zhou Shengchen to meet again under the arrangement of fate and rewrite their love story. This novel not only has sincere emotions and ups and downs of the plot, but what is even more rare is that it continues the essence of "Zhou Sheng Ru Ru Ru", making me feel like I have returned to a world full of sadness and emotion. Shi Yi's bravery and strength, Zhou Shengchen's maturity and stability, and the deep affection between them all moved me. I especially appreciate the author's handling of emotions. There is no excessive pretense or deliberate sensationalism. Instead, he uses delicate brushwork to describe every detail between them, making me feel as if I can personally feel their joys, sorrows, and joys. Especially Zhou Shengchen's deep affection for Shi Yi. He not only supported her in action, but also gave her endless warmth and comfort in spirit. In anticipation, I couldn't help but want to add some "sweet" elements to this novel. After all, we all hope that Shi Yi and Zhou Shengchen can have a better future. I hope the author can arrange some warmer and sweeter plots for us in subsequent stories, so that we can feel the beauty of life while feeling their love. Thank you to the author for bringing us such a wonderful novel, and for rekindling our love for "Zhou Sheng Ru Ru Ru". I hope you can stick with it and bring us more and better works. Come on! We look forward to you bringing us more wonderful things!
"The Return of an Old Friend from Chang'an" is like a bright pearl, blooming with a unique light in the bright starry sky of fan literature. This novel cleverly borrows the framework of the popular TV series "Everyday Life", but cleverly injects new life and emotional depth into it, cleverly transforming the regrets of the past life into reunion and perfection in this life. In this novel, the rebirth of time is like a gift from fate. She was persevering and bravely faced the challenges ahead, seizing the opportunity to reunite with Zhou Shengchen. She not only changed her own destiny, but also deeply affected Zhou Shengchen's life. Zhou Shengchen, the former hero, is now more mature and stable. He no longer hesitates and is timid, but pays equal attention to national affairs and the personal relationships of his children. He deeply loves Shi Yi, always pays attention to her feelings, and expresses his feelings to her in various ways. The author skillfully arranges many plots to gradually warm up the relationship between Zhou Shengchen and Shi Yi. They experienced many hardships together and faced the regrets and pain of their previous lives together. In this process, Zhou Shengchen not only managed to break his previous vow not to marry a wife or have children, but he also tried his best to make Shi Yi feel his deep love. Their relationship went through various tests and finally came to consummation. At the end of the novel, we look forward to a grand wedding, which will symbolize the victory and consummation of their love. This wedding is not only the happiness of the two of them, but also the expectation of all readers. We eagerly look forward to the author's announcement of this happy ending as soon as possible, so that we can witness this grand wedding and feel this hard-won happiness together. "The Return of an Old Friend from Chang'an" is a novel with sincere emotions and ups and downs of plot. It allows us to deeply appreciate the power of love and the beauty of human nature. This is a masterpiece worth reading again and again.
I highly recommend this book, the author writes so well. The thinking is very delicate, the character creation is perfect, the storyline is too twists and turns, and the sadness arises spontaneously... Life is like a dream, and dreams are like life, right? ... Only by writing with emotion can such an excellent story be written. When I stopped writing, it was just because you made me cry...
This novel made me feel like crying after reading it. It reminded me of the previous novel Zhou Shengru. The author's delicate writing style made the sincere love between the male and female protagonists very real. I hope the author can publish more soon!
I highly recommend this book by the author. The author writes very delicately about the love between the male and female protagonists. He died for her, and she let him go. What an enviable love. Great support for the author!
The script is good, you can read it!
