My Second Male Lead Can't Be This Miserable

Jian Tao was a relatively obscure web novelist. After finally getting some traction with one of her stories, readers tore into her for writing the second male lead as nothing but a plot device, driving her to lash out. She ignored their complaints, killed him off, and hastily gave him an ending where he died in a car accident while saving the female lead.

The very next second after she finished the book, she transmigrated into it, becoming a classmate who was little more than a background character to the second male lead.

At first, she thought there was no System. But after she interfered in the second male lead's affairs, a System suddenly appeared.

[Host, because you interfered with the plot and changed the scene where Jiang Feng gets injured and is saved by the female lead, your punishment begins now.]

[Host, you cannot change Jiang Feng's ending. You must also make the male and female leads reach a bad ending.]

[Why? I transmigrated into a book for no reason. Wasn't it because I killed off the second male lead? Wasn't I supposed to change his fate?]

[This System was born from readers' resentment. At the request of some readers, you must watch Jiang Feng die with your own eyes and give the male and female leads a bad ending. Only then will you suffer. Otherwise, you will face severe punishment.]

Jian Tao finally understood. She hadn't transmigrated into the book to change the second male lead's fate. She had come to be punished herself.

If she changed Jiang Feng's ending, she would face unknown consequences. If she didn't, she would have to watch him die.

It was a closed loop.

But Jian Tao still chose to change Jiang Feng's fate, enduring the System's punishment over and over again. In the end, Jiang Feng did not die beneath the wheels as he had in the original book, and the male and female leads found happiness together.

But Jian Tao disappeared from this world. No one remembered her except Jiang Feng.
