This is a fairly straightforward novel about everyone fighting to survive. The sea-survival story starts with a small fishing boat, which is gradually upgraded into a mobile fortress on the water. PS
The protagonist is a pretty typical sort, neither a saint nor a truly evil person, more of a self-interested type.
PS: Overall, this should be a sci-fi and game novel, though not hard sci-fi... There may be some Lovecraftian and supernatural elements later, like the Old Gods and magic. In my setting, the Old Gods are a higher civilization, and void creatures are basically aliens? Magic... I guess it counts as a spiritual civilization. Well... maybe it doesn’t strictly qualify as sci-fi after all. This is my first time writing a book, so I may ramble a bit. I hope you’ll understand.
