Has the Kingdom of Shengqi Gone Bankrupt Today?
Once, the Kingdom of Shengqi was a respectable nation, brightly lit and filled with song and dance, until it... hit its "midlife crisis."
The first king, Yue Liuyi, was a clever man who planned ahead. He signed a contract with four sacred slave beasts, the Chi, Mei, Wang, and Liang: "When our country is on the verge of collapse, you must come help me clean house, get rid of the parasites, and get the nation running again."
But the passage of time brought more than prosperity. It also came with a whole package of "national afflictions": natural disasters, human calamities, internal strife, and foreign threats, as if the heavens had suddenly remembered, "Oh right, there's still the Kingdom of Shengqi to torment!"
The people devoutly worshipped the Golden Crow religion, hoping the gods could turn the tide. But some refused to believe, like Lin Daiyuan.
This young man, born in a chaotic age, slammed his hand on the table when the nation was in peril. "The Correctionists are hereby founded!"
His partner, Qi Che, was a peerless prodigy. They shared the same ideals, yet fate mercilessly toyed with them. They bickered even as they weathered the tides of their era together, vowing to uncover the Kingdom of Shengqi's buried history and perform a "bone-deep purge" to cure the nation of its ills.
But there's a problem... The Kingdom of Shengqi lies within the "Sea of Heaven," and beyond it is a group of "old friends" watching with covetous eyes. They were never truly killed, only waiting for the right moment, such as when the Kingdom of Shengqi is at its lowest, to strike one more blow.
- So, has the Kingdom of Shengqi gone bankrupt today?
- Not yet, but soon.
