The Double: Duke, You're Afraid of Your Wife!

Lately, I’ve been completely smitten with the young guy, and my fingers are itching to write. I’m starting a new book on Tomato Fiction. This time, no married woman: his wife is on her way.

In this story, the heroine Jiang Ming is the eldest daughter of the Jiang family. Jiang Yue is the second daughter, Li’er the third, Ruo Yao the fourth, and Yu’e the fifth.

A year ago, Jiang Ming was betrothed to Xiao Heng, Duke of Su. Since neither of them wanted the marriage, they have kept out of each other’s way since the wedding, each tending to their own affairs. They sleep in separate rooms and occasionally share a meal. They have not slept together since their wedding night. Over time, rumors begin to spread that the Duke’s wife is neglected, cannot bear children, and is a shrew at home.

When Jiang Ming hears the gossip, she says, “Just great! If he doesn’t come looking for me, what does that have to do with me? Why is my reputation the one taking a hit? Have someone quietly spread the word that the Duke is impotent and can’t satisfy his wife, so from now on he’s not allowed into her room!”

Xiao Heng: “???”
