The 1980S: My Spendthrift Wife Starts Lying Flat After Buying a House

[1980s + feel-good wish fulfillment + family life + raising kids + making money + a touch of ensemble romance] Gu Huan had a dream. In it, she was 50 years old. She had finally paid off the debts her late husband left behind and was just about to breathe a sigh of relief when she got so excited that she fainted. When she opened her eyes again, it was August 1984, the day after the spendthrift Gu Huan had married her pretty-boy husband, Shen Yushu. She swore she would never let the things from her dream happen. Gu Huan: Honey, look, other people's husbands all have little cars to drive. I want you to have one too. So you'd better work hard and make some money. Shen Yushu: All right, all right, honey. Whatever you say. Those who had doubted them watched as they went from selling braised snacks and clothes to building a brick house and opening a factory. They started out with a pedal tricycle, then gradually upgraded to a motorcycle and a car. They even heard the couple had bought a courtyard house in the capital. They were dumbfounded. Shen Yushu: I keep feeling like my wife is manipulating me, but I have no proof. Gu Huan: Honey, education starts when they're little. We can't let our kids fall behind at the starting line. Shen Yushu: Understood, honey. (And he immediately went back to making money...)
