I’m not a great writer, so don’t read this if that bothers you.
[Bright, warm-hearted sweetheart x proud, self-conscious student from a poor family]
[High school romance + urban life + both are each other’s first love + happy ending]
Life is full of disappointments, but thankfully, there are a few good things.
For Li Xiuran, Yu Gaogao was one of those few. She was the kind light fate had granted to his dim life.
Yu Gaogao was just like her name: bright and radiant. Raised surrounded by love, she had eyes that knew how to love and the courage to keep moving forward.
One midsummer day, amid the cicadas’ cries, she met Li Xiuran. He sat beside her and wrote his name above hers.
It was an unintentional gesture, but from then on, they were entangled.
The year they finished the college entrance exams, the heat was unbearable. Holding her admission letter, Yu Gaogao told Li Xiuran, “I like you.”
But Li Xiuran was penniless, with pride and insecurity warring inside him. After doing poorly on the exams, he chose to push away his one good thing with his own hands.
Regretting it, he dropped out and repeated the year, returning to her side but still too afraid to get close.
It wasn’t until they met again in a convenience store six years later that he finally broke through his inner barriers and found the courage to reach for his sun.
A story that began in summer, twisted and turned, but summer never fades, and I have never left.
[Before reading: The heroine’s name comes from the Book of Songs: “The rain, the rain, then the bright sun appears.” It describes the sun shining brightly. Her name was not chosen carelessly.
During the years they were out of touch, the heroine dated, kissed, and held hands with someone. If that bothers you, don’t read.
The title was inspired by Shakespeare’s “Your eternal summer shall not fade.”]
It's really good to read. I read both of them from other books. I enjoyed reading them both. The author is particularly good at describing some of the thoughts and emotions of adolescence that are difficult to disclose to the public. The pain of growth. Everyone is controlled by their own experience and identity, but they are also reasonably willful and transgressive. The light depression and sadness of adolescence are mixed with an air of idealism; the rhythm of each story is very relaxed. There is no eye-catching feeling like Tomato's unique outrageous routines, and there are very few places where misunderstandings and conflicts are deliberately created. Everyone's behavior and language are very consistent with their own experience and identity, and there is nothing embarrassing about it. I can feel that the author is very sensitive to the grasp of people's hearts. You must continue writing!!
It's super good-looking, the hostess is great, the male protagonist is really miserable, and the plot is very attractive. I just feel that Meng Ziyuan is better. His approach to the rumor-mongering incident is great, but it's a pity that he is not the male protagonist.
I cried when I watched it TT. The misfortune of the male protagonist is really tragic, and the love is also true love. There are so many small details.
It's good to read, and the author's books are all good.
Good looking. The psychological description is very delicate.
