Prince of Tennis: Where the Forest Deepens, a Deer Appears

A cringe-worthy work from my past. Not recommended.

(Originally titled “Waiting for You in Deep Winter”)

A short, completed story with a bad ending. Read with caution.

The everyday life of a girl suffering from unrequited love in a single-parent family.

She thought she would be like her mother, hating men and refusing to have anything to do with them.

Until one day, he appeared: a seemingly mature, expressionless boy wearing glasses, with a tennis bag slung over his shoulder.

At that moment, it felt as if Cupid’s arrow had pierced the girl’s heart.

She met Tezuka Kunimitsu, and he added vivid color to her dull school life.

It turned out not every man was heartless like the jerks her mother talked about.

Love him without holding anything back.

If he turns down your confession the first time, that’s okay. There’s always a second time! Keep confessing until you make him fall for you!

I like you just as you like tennis, and I like you.
