The Phoenix Holds Power

[Two heroines, strong women, political intrigue, light comedy, a touch of secret identities, slow burn]

The female web novelist Lao Xiao is halfway through writing her book when she transmigrates into it. Looking at the bleak future ahead, with nothing to her name, Lao Xiao can only cling to the original story's official golden fingers, Lin Jun and Lin Long.

The sisters first become generals, then return to court and are made dukes. Later, one becomes regent and the other a prince regent, wielding power across the court. Along the way, they reform the bureaucracy, eliminate hidden threats, and even put down rebellions among Japan and other vassal states.

But when they face an empty palace because the emperor has run off, they look at each other. Have we been trapped into this for good?
