Dazai

I suddenly found myself here.

Looking at the reflection of a fifteen-year-old Dazai Osamu in the water, with no idea what was going on, I decisively chose to drown myself.

The clear stream flowed past my ears and swallowed me whole. I savored the feeling that I could die at any moment.

Someone would come looking for me anyway. Whether it was the Armed Detective Agency or the Port Mafia, I didn’t care.

But halfway through floating downstream, an unexpected person interrupted me.

A Russian appeared as if he had expected me, Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, and asked, “Dazai, what about the mission?”

Tch. The last thing I wanted to see had happened: I’m the Book’s Dazai.

“Fedya, you interrupted me while I was trying to drown myself.”

//First-person narration. The “Book” has a mind of its own, and there are original settings. If that’s not your thing, don’t read. New author, thanks for your support.//
