The heroine is cautious at first, but comes into her own in the middle and later parts. The hero appears somewhat late.
“You controlled her and broke her arms and legs. Why are you pretending to be some big shot now?”
Chen Sisi rolled her eyes and flicked the shriveled arm out of her hand.
Her gaze shifted. The next second, she stared into the corner at the bloodied figure and gave a sinister smile.
“Bai Shengsheng, what's it like to die at the hands of the person you love most?”
Chen Sisi grinned smugly and strolled over to the corner. She pulled a rusty little serrated knife from her pocket, then crouched beside Bai Shengsheng.
She cut ever so slowly. Bai Shengsheng was too weak to answer.
She had given her heart to a dog. Her only best friend and boyfriend had been secretly sleeping together, and for a whole year of the apocalypse she'd foolishly risked her life to find food and keep them fed. It was laughable!
But she didn't want to die. She wanted revenge!
Then she was reborn three days before the apocalypse.
Bai Shengsheng started shopping and stockpiling like crazy.
