A Slytherin from Massachusetts

Simply put, the Serpent Founder sacrifices his emotions to carry his powers and memories into a reincarnation a thousand years later. But Sharon, his reincarnation, messes things up and ends up in a bind. She saves herself, then completely derails most of the next generation’s story.

Sharon Stewart is furious that someone has shoved the soul of Voldemort, who was supposed to be defeated by Harry Potter, into the body of her previous life, Salazar Slytherin. She is especially angry because her friends and family are now suffering a devastating catastrophe as a result.

To find the mastermind behind it all, Sharon uses forbidden time magic to return to her tenth birthday. This time, to prevent the tragedy and uncover the mastermind, she chooses to attend Hogwarts, unlike in her previous life, and deliberately approaches Harry.

However, time magic is forbidden because it does more than send the caster to the past they desire: it also brings along things that should have vanished into the depths of history. By the time Sharon realizes what’s happening, the plot is no longer the one in the Harry Potter biography she bought last time.

The protagonist’s love interest is still probably the Lion Founder, but he won’t appear until very, very late, and his characterization probably won’t be what everyone expects.

Anyway, any out-of-character behavior is my responsibility.
