Basic Medical Care and Health Promotion Law of the People's Republic of China

In order to strengthen the publicity of the legal system, quickly popularize legal knowledge, and serve the construction of my country's democratic and legal system, China Democracy and Legal Press has published a series of legal separate editions of the National People's Congress Standing Committee's gazette version on a large scale and in all varieties over the years based on the laws passed and revised by the National People's Congress Standing Committee on a regular basis every year. The "Basic Medical and Health Promotion Law of the People's Republic of China" was formulated by the state to implement the Constitution's goals of developing national medical and health services, protecting and improving people's health, and realizing basic medical and health services for everyone. For the first time, it was clearly stated at the legal level that health is a basic human right and that the country's implementation of people's health is one of the strategic goals of China's construction. It established the basic principles and basic guidelines for the implementation of Healthy China. Standardize basic medical and health care and promote national health in terms of general principles, citizens' health rights and obligations, organization and provision of public health and medical services, and drug security.
