Xia Zhixu took part in an experiment by chance, activating genetic material in her brain. When she woke up, the world had changed. All she could see was the glow of food, and everything else was shrouded in darkness.
Suddenly, a woman appeared before her, radiating a brilliant blue light. She looked delicious. But she seemed so polite and gentle that it would be a shame to gobble her up without warning.
“Can you drive, Colonel?” Xia Zhixu asked.
“Can’t you, Miss Xia?” Sang Yu climbed into the driver’s seat and checked their surroundings.
“I’m just a college student who hasn’t graduated yet. Didn’t the experiment files say that?”
Looking at the smug, self-satisfied woman before her, Sang Yu could only sigh.
Not long ago, Sang Yu had been ordered to destroy a horrific genetic enhancement experiment run by an underground organization. She was ambushed, but fortunately, Xia Zhixu, one of the experimental subjects, saved her.
Aside from the almost obsessive fervor in Xia Zhixu’s eyes at first, Sang Yu thought she was a decent person.
She’d taken a bullet for Sang Yu and rescued her from the flames.
As they searched for the truth behind the experiment and the assassination attempt, Sang Yu gradually realized that perhaps everything had been planned from the start. The world could never return to what it once was.
