The Dragon Roams the World: Secrets and Strange Cases

This book blends suspense, romance, national warfare, wuxia, xianxia, fantasy, magic, and many other tropes. It also attempts to combine the styles of male-oriented and female-oriented fiction. Since this is my first time trying to write this way, the result is inevitably rather jumbled. After a million words, though, the book will have to change its name.

Heaven is the beginning of all things; earth is the order of reincarnation. All things and all spirits begin in the ordinary, hold humanity in the highest regard, and end in the realm of immortals and gods.

A leaf, a bodhi; a moment, a cycle of reincarnation. All things have their patterns, the seasons their order. Flowers bloom and fall, but must they come to an end?

Whether you are an Eastern god, immortal, demon, or monster, a mage, an esper, or an utterly ordinary human or animal, all are bound by fate and reincarnation.

All things have a beginning and an end, yet some always seek to escape their fate and join in composing this journey between heaven and earth, immortals and mortals.

And it all begins when the emperor of the Yanwu Kingdom travels south on an imperial inspection.
