When I Reunited with My Ex, He Said He Regretted It

[Rekindled love ➕ Reunion after years apart ➕ Push and pull]

[A deliberately infuriating CEO x A short-tempered reporter]

Xu Canshu is a new reporter at a TV station, efficient and decisive, never one to drag things out. Shen Ci is the most dazzling rising star in the business world, cool and distinguished, and has never granted an exclusive interview.

Though they seem to have nothing in common, the two were together several years ago.

After their breakup, at the interview, Shen Ci lounged against the back of his chair, legs crossed, his gaze carrying a faintly amused smile.

“I heard that after we broke up, you said you’d make me pay.” His tone was casual, but his words carried a threat.

Her fingertips trembled slightly, but she forced herself to stay calm. “That was a long time ago. You should have forgotten about it by now.”

Shen Ci chuckled softly, his gaze deep. “You can forget the past, but you still owe me. You’ll have to pay me back eventually.”

They kept running into each other, and every encounter brought another clash. Memories of the past surged back like a tide.

“Xu Canshu.” He grabbed her wrist and pinned her against the wall. “Are you sure you’re going to keep avoiding me?”

She turned her face away. “Shen Ci, you’re insane!”

He gave a low laugh, his warm breath brushing her ear. “Xu Canshu, I really am insane.”
