There is no inherent distinction between good and evil in the world. It is only when selfish desires run too deep that obsessions take root. An obsession carried too far becomes demonic, and an excess of demonic energy will inevitably turn against its bearer. As the saying goes, “Bystanders see most clearly.” Only those who understand the Great Dao can grasp the truth of it all. Most people, even the so-called immortals, cannot comprehend its mysteries.
There is such a person in this world, someone at the very bottom of society, who ultimately comprehends the laws of the Great Dao through the simplicity of his heart.
