Starving Land: Dawn

P.S. A fan-made work based on The Starving Lamb: A Long Journey in Late Ming China.

(The story mainly continues from where the original left off. No rebirth, no System, no cheats, and this is not a story about an overpowered protagonist!!!)

My name is Liang. My father gave me that name. He always wanted me to become a merchant like him, but I wasn’t interested. After that, I came up with an idea of my own: I would become a hero!

When I was young, I thought a hero was simply a savior who stood up for justice and rescued the world. But later, I understood that I wasn’t a hero. I was a bandit. Before I met that little girl, I was a heartless killing machine. I didn’t care whether anyone lived or died, and I felt no sympathy for anyone. If I could kill, I killed; if I could rob, I robbed. That was how I thought as a bandit. But after meeting that little girl, it was as if a ray of light had entered my rotting, dark heart. Could this be the dawn of my life reborn...?
