I Ran into My Archenemy Sneaking a Tear at My Own Funeral

After an artist stabs her in the back, Lu Ran, a low-level talent agent, goes to Yonghe Temple to kneel and pray for overnight riches. The next day, she gets into a car accident and becomes a patient in a vegetative state.

The good news is that she switches souls with Mu Yunchu, the eldest daughter of the Mu family.

The bad news is that Mu Yunchu has terminal lung cancer and not much time left.

Lu Ran: ...

Is this what the Bodhisattva meant by overnight riches?

But her rich heiress experience card expires way too soon.

A year later, Mu Yunchu dies, and Lu Ran miraculously wakes up.

The superstar who betrayed her rushes over to sneer, and Lu Ran beats him up on the spot.

The anti-fan who caused her car accident rages at her, so Lu Ran drops one bombshell after another, leaving their precious idol’s reputation in ruins.

The other agent threatens and intimidates her. Lu Ran says, “Want me to expose your dirt too?”

Her boss flies into a rage and threatens to fire her. Lu Ran says, “I’ll fire you first!”

An arrogant rich kid comes storming in to settle the score. His lackeys gleefully start a livestream to watch the show, only to witness their young master get smacked by Lu Ran and turn into a lackey himself in an instant.

In just a few days, nobody in or out of the industry dares to mess with Lu Ran anymore.

Everyone says she’s gone crazy, citing all kinds of medical theories to debate whether someone can wake from a vegetative state with a broken brain but perfectly functional limbs.

Lu Ran: How about you believe in the supernatural for once?

She’s busy taking the world by storm when she suddenly receives an obituary inviting her to Mu Yunchu’s funeral.

The invitation comes from Mu Yunshen, who has always hated his half-sister with a passion.

Lu Ran: Why pretend? You’d be setting off firecrackers to celebrate her death.

But at the funeral, she finds that the emotionless iceberg has hidden away to wipe his tears.

Lu Ran: ?

Lu Ran: No one else is around. You can drop the act.

Lu Ran: For a whole year, I did nothing but hit and scold you. Don’t tell me you actually enjoyed it?
