A slap can cure illness. A single word can blot out the sky. One step can change your fate.
Just as Sunday’s life seemed to be getting brighter, he died. But that wasn’t the end, because death was only another beginning. When he woke and climbed out of his grave, he found himself among other corpses, struggling to survive and grow stronger. Then he was marked by a strange gift and abandoned, alone in a war between the undead and the living, amid corruption and the fall of the divine.
Spells might be hidden beneath every stone, every step could prove fatal, and anyone could be a servant of evil. To survive and find his purpose, Sunday must master his many talents, learn what the world is and what it means to be a mage, and stay one step ahead of everyone around him.
