This is a cultivation fantasy with one female lead and an ensemble cast, following the main group as they begin their training at school and grow stronger. (Modern-style education is incorporated into the cultivation process.) There are no truly evil villains in the story, only opposing factions. The protagonist's family is not entirely good, and the protagonist himself is far from perfect. But every member of the main cast shares one trait: they are devoted in love. That quality runs throughout the story, so you won't find a harem romance here. At its heart, this is the story of Dugu Hao, a gifted young man born into a prestigious family, and how he grows alongside his noble friends. Dugu Hao incurs the enmity of Nangong Si, a peerless woman of the previous generation from the Nangong clan who has already ascended to the Immortal Realm. Though restrained by the Heavenly Dao, she uses every means at her disposal to destroy him. Instead, each setback makes Dugu Hao stronger. But it also makes many others stronger, and in the end, some of them come to stand against him.
