Game designer Lin Jialuo accidentally fell off a cliff and died. But against all expectations, he didn't stay dead. Instead, he transmigrated to a strange place called the Secret Realm of Taiyou.
There, he met a group of peculiar people: the shopkeeper of Hua Man Lou, a doting younger brother and the richest man around; a black-clad swordsman with a mysterious past who appeared amid a shower of flowers; and Xiao Chixing, a "deceased" minor.
He thought he had landed in a martial world, but then he discovered immortal sects towering amid majestic mountains, eerie valleys hidden in secretive mists, and an imperial city at the heart of a besieged city!
Lin Jialuo: What kind of bizarre place is this?
He learned from his seniors that there was a stone gate at the edge of the secret realm that could take him out. But opening it required five missing mechanisms, and others in the secret realm were also after them.
To return to his original world, Lin Jialuo had no choice but to join forces with his friends and set out to find the mechanisms.
Along the way, he realized that conspiracies and traps were coming one after another...
The mystery of his immortality, Xiao Chixing's "resurrection," and the disappearance of the immortal sect: all the secrets were tied to those five mechanisms.
